Privacy

Last updated 20 September 2026

The short version. Life Quest runs entirely in your browser. There are no accounts and no tracking, and everything you write — your quests, habits, journal entries, weigh-ins — stays on your own device. None of it is ever sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent to.

What stays on your device

Life Quest saves your game in your browser's local storage. That includes:

This information never leaves your browser. It is not transmitted, backed up or synchronised anywhere. If you use Life Quest on two devices, each keeps its own separate save.

What we collect about you

Nothing. There is no account to create, no email address to give, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. We cannot see your data, and we could not retrieve it if you asked.

Third parties

There is only one, and it is simply whoever has to hand you the page:

ServiceWhat it receivesWhy
Cloudflare PagesIP address, browser type and requested page, in standard server logsHosting and delivering the site, and protecting it from abuse

That is the whole list. The page loads no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no embedded widgets and no external scripts of any kind. Even the typeface is served from this site rather than from a font service, so loading Life Quest tells nobody but the host that you were here — and tells them nothing about what you wrote.

Cookies

Life Quest sets no cookies at all. It uses your browser's local storage, but only to hold your own saved game and interface preferences as described above — that is, only what is strictly necessary to provide the app you asked for. Nothing is stored for advertising, measurement or profiling, so there is no consent banner to click.

Your data, and your control over it

Because your data lives on your device rather than on a server, you already hold it directly:

If you are in the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. For the data Life Quest holds, those rights are satisfied directly by the controls above, since you hold the only copy.

Losing your data

Worth knowing: clearing your browsing data, using private browsing, or a browser deciding to evict storage for sites you have not visited in a while will all delete your save. Keep a backup file if your progress matters to you.

Children

Life Quest is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
