The short version. Life Quest is free and provided as it is. Your data lives on your device, so keeping a backup is up to you. It is a game for organising your own life — not advice of any kind.

1. Using Life Quest

Life Quest is offered free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

There is no account and no registration, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel. You can stop using Life Quest at any time, and remove everything it holds by clearing this site's data in your browser.

2. It is not advice

Life Quest lets you record things like workouts, weight, sleep and how you feel. It is a self-tracking game, not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical, psychological, nutritional, financial or professional advice. It does not assess your health and it cannot tell whether a goal is safe or sensible for you. Always speak to a qualified professional before making decisions about your health, and never ignore professional advice because of something you read here.

If you are struggling with your health or your mood, please talk to a doctor or another qualified person rather than relying on a game.

3. Your data is your responsibility

Everything you enter is stored in your own browser and nowhere else. We hold no copy and cannot recover anything for you. Clearing your browsing data, using private browsing, switching browser or device, or a browser evicting storage will all remove your save permanently.

If your progress matters to you, use Export backup in Settings and keep the file somewhere safe. Backing up is entirely up to you.

4. Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to break, overload, deface or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems that host it, and do not use it in any way that is unlawful. Since the app runs entirely in your own browser, you are of course free to read its source, and to modify your own copy.

5. Availability

Life Quest is a personal project, not a commercial service. It may be changed, interrupted or discontinued at any time, with or without notice, and there is no guarantee that it will remain available or that any particular feature will be kept. No service level is promised.

6. No warranty, and limits of liability

Life Quest is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and freedom from error. It is not guaranteed to be accurate, uninterrupted or free from bugs.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of Life Quest, including lost data, lost progress, or decisions you make on the basis of what it shows you. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

7. Credits and licences

The icons are pixelarticons by Gerrit Halfmann, used under the MIT Licence.
The typeface is IBM Plex, © IBM Corp., bundled with this site and used under the SIL Open Font Licence 1.1. The full licence is included at fonts/OFL.txt.
All pixel scenes and character art are generated by the app's own code.
The rest of the app remains the property of its author.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The current version always appears on this page with its date at the top, and continuing to use Life Quest after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and the courts of Greece have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
